I still think that anything with wi-fi will first go to T-Mobile since they have hot spot contracts with Starbucks and FedEx/Kinkos. Makes sense to push their wi-fi contracts.

update: BG checked my comment/comparisson pics and checked the phone's axl and found myfave5 and vendor100 (t-mob's vendor number) inside along with no other vendor information.

looks like it's certified: the 8820 goes to t-mobile!

What are the specs on this one again? What goodies will it have besides WiFi?

2.0mp cam (bye bye 1.3), full screen video playing, microsd card removable with phone still on (not placed behind battery), premium speaker (described even better than 8800's by BG), roomy qwerty, but the biggest plus is the 4.2.2.27 OS. Seeing the Tmo theme being used was the same one from 4.2.1.66, I can assume it will be utilizing all the new features off .66 plus the icon choices (which weren't selectable on .66 for us) and quite a few more. basically the .66 but even more souped and probably not so buggy.

well RIM is releasing 3 versions. if you feel cheated that there will be no gps on 'mamabear' a.k.a the 8320, you can wait for 'papabear' to come around.

i'm jumping on the 8320 and then waiting until a 9xxx is revealed that has cam and full keyboard. I refuse to settle for a 9xxx suretype.. period.
