Here's a free program called MP3Gain, link below it's a free download..

You can select the folders right on your Berry or Computer and adjust the db's (or sound level as you would call it) to what ever you want. The default is 89 db's. After playing around with it
I found 101 db's to be perfect. The nice this is it won't change the file size or distort the music. Hope this helps everyone, running 4.5 and higher OS with lower sound problems.

Can't get any easy than this.

So to make this understandable your can adjust by song or by the folder of songs...

Installs on your Desktop PC only to 'tweak' your MP3 files to required
audio levels.
This program is not a BB application but basically for working directly with
the audio file itself on your PC, then upload the file(s) to your BB and then
set it/them as ringtones/or just music.

Also, as posted above by JayK, if you have your BB attached to
your PC in USB mode, it should be possible to add the Folder
on your BB's microSD card which contains the MP3 files from
MP3Gain itself and then work directly on these audio files.

As graph was saying, you can convert the songs sound levels when connected with the usb cord right on the berry or media card with out having to do it on the computer then putting them on your berry, but it with also do it on your computer or anything else. By doing it on your berry means no erasing of songs, just fix them right on your berry.

Hey Mods Lets sticky this, That way everybody has a reason to up grade to 4.5 and up OS. Low sound quality was the most reasons people didn't or dropped back down from 4.5. This program MP3Gain will fix all MP3 sound levels up or down including ringtones, and is very small and super easy to use.

well, actually if u increase the dB's of any song, thare';s might be a chance that the little speaker sounds with distortion and maybe after a couple of months it aint gonna work correctly cuz its designed for handling a certain amount of dB's.
the thing that i can advice u guys to do here is if ur gonna boost te volume, lower the gain of the low frequencies. like in ur cvars, home stereos......sometimes u want more volume, so u lower a little bit the bass and u can pump up the volume without the risk of affecting ur speakers
