| T-Mo 8700g owners - check Bluetooth options for syncing?
Enable Bluetooth and then go to Options under the bluetooth menu. What services are listed? I'm trying to get my Bluetooth sync going (which requires the Desktop Connectivity and Wireless Bypass services), and I have neither. I'm running 4.1.0.284. I'm not on a BES, nor have I ever been, and there's no mention of an IT policy anywhere in the security options. From what I've gathered, that's the ONLY way someone can disable your Bluetooth services. Perhaps T-Mobile left if out of their software or something... Thanks in advance. |

Services listed (on 7100 series also): Headset Handsfree Desktop Connectivity Wireless Bypass Try the following: 1) Set Discoverable to Yes 2) Set Allow Outgoing Calls to Always 3) Set Address Book Transfer to All Entries If that doesn't work, reset your device and re-register on the network. |

On my Tmo 8700 I have a BT headset hooked to it. When I go under Options Bluetooth I see my Jabra BT160. From the menu I pick Options and I see Bluetooth Options. I have under Services: Headset Handsfree Desktop Connectivity Wireless Bypass Have not tried to hook up with a PC via BT on the 8700. Been too busy. |

Hmm... I wonder why I got the shaft here. ![]() RE: reregistering on the network...what kinda of reregistration is there to do? I already did a hard reset, and resent the service books and there's no change. |

Nope. I did it in combo w/ a hard reset before and after and I'm still missing 'em.

Nope, haven't yet. I figured I'd see what the consensus is here first, but it seems like I'm in the minority on this one. Thanks for the help though. |

Sorry. The only other suggestion I can think of (keep in mind it is late Saturday & I have had one drink) is to try a reinstall of the OS. You can get the OS right on Tmo's site. If you are like me, you don't really want to call Tmo if you can help it. |

According to Timo PDA support, synching is not possible without the USB cable. The Bluetooth is for accessories only such as headsets and keyboards. But you cannot synch or provide internet access via bluetooth.

Stealth - silly question but is your bb made in Mexico? I have one made there and it doesn't have the blue tooth or wireless conectivity option either, yet the one made in Hungary that I have does. Now I reckon this is not a service book issue but a os one; my suggestion to back up first and do a handheld wipe, then reinstall os for your bb from your provider website. That's what I;m going to do anyway,..........
