    "Enable bluetooth support" problem

Hey guys, I just got a Bluetooth adapter for my 7100i. I installed the software and it sees my phone. I was reading the help file in the Desktop Manager software and it said to right-click the Black-Berry Device Manager and choose Properties. There is a check-box in there to enable Bluetooth support, but mine is grayed out. Can anyone help me out with this?

    I have a 7100i through Nextel with software 4.1.

    Thanks!

Does you bluetooth adapter use the default Microsoft drivers? If not, it needs to. I think there is a post around with directions on how to fool Windows into using the standard Microsoft drivers.

No, I had to install drivers from the CD that came with the bluetooth device. I found a post on here about fixing problems with it, but I can't figure out how to get the Microsoft drivers.

The drivers on already on your PC. You just have to modify a inf file to fool Windows into using them for your adapter.

Do you know which file? Or what I need to do to modify it?

Just an update to this problem...

I ended up buying a different Bluetooth adapter and that fixed all of my problems. So it is driver-specific because Windows was able to pick up the new adapter.
