Welcome. Are you talking about the laser one? Or is there another one out there. I am sure there are some reviews out on the internet about them. Let us know the name of the one you are considering or the website it is on.

    Virtual Bluetooth Keyboard

    Try that.... they are neat.

Don't think it works with Blackberry though.... that sucks..

I forgot that I had one of these. I'll break it out tomorrow and see if I can get it to hook up to my Pearl and post what I discover.

No joy on getting it to work. The iTech website has a driver for it but my device started giving me trouble so I have not been able to get the virtual laser keyboard to work. It should though.

If you are on a BES, you will need to have an application policy set that will allow the keyboard to inject keystrokes. The policy settings were covered in the documentation that I had.

Just wish my laser keyboard wasn't on the fritz... bummer.

Thumbs up Re: Does the Bluetooth Wireless Keyboards work?

I bought the freedom keyboard off ebay several months ago, yes it does work, BUT it is a pain to set up. Very technical, but be safe and backup your BB before you do anything, just incase.

At one point in time, I was to the point that I didnt even use my computers anymore, just my pearl.

Anyway, there is specific software for the bb to work, it does not come with the keyboard, but there is an OTA download for it in the directions.

    Later,
    Dan

    To revive this thread:

    I found a very low-cost bluetooth keyboard
    http://www.amazon.com/Stowaway-Ultra...tag=slickdeals

Of course does this work on a 8830 or any other blackberry. And if it does can you actually toggle the menu/navigate through the blackberry?

    Inquiry minds want to know!

As a matter of fact I just spent most of today getting this to work with my pearl 8100. I had to upgrade the OS you need to be 4.2.1.xxx. Then you can DL the driver for your BB from the company web site. I'd go check here

    http://www.mobilityelectronics.com/support/Drivers.asp

to see if they have a driver for your phone before you buy. Very slick keyboard. Don't buy direct from Igo, they want $149.00. Got mine on e-bay for like $20.00.
