Since last week, I got my hands on a Motorola H500 headset. Does the exact same thing as the Plantronics 510 only that the H500 doesn't have the connect / discnnect tones going off in your ear every 30 seconds.

What is more annoying then the headset connecting / disconnecting every 30-45 seconds is the fact that if you are trying to use the BB (reply to an email, for example) you get that dang po-up message stating the headset connected or disconnected and it takes a key press away from whatever you are typing (or doing)!

Let's see... Two different heasets, same Blackberry... hum... Maybe it's the Blackbery and not the headsets.

I love the 8700c, but this is really bothering me!

    Later,
    Mike

    Re: Bluetooth headset issues

I use the Motorola HS850 and I have not had any issues like this. This was a headset that I used to use with my Razr (ugh, I'll never go back to a regular phone!!!) and it paired perfectly with the 8700g. My only problem would be the lag time between turning the headset on and the phone regonizing it. Other than that, delicious quality.

    what kind of bluetooth?
This is my Blackberry. There are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me my Blackberry is useless. Without my Blackberry I am useless.

I am having this problem with my 8830. I tried 3 different headset. I currently have a Plantronics 655. My handset will even turn off the bluetooth radio at times?
