Bluetooth battery drain? Charging urban myth?

    Hi All,
if I keep my bluetooth "on" continuously.....even without using it..will it cause a further drain on my battery? Also, as I've only had my 8700r for 2 weeks..should I be draining the battery almost completely and then recharging..or does it even matter and that's an urban myth?

    tnx!

I have my blootooth enabled all the time, I have seen no noticable difference in the battery.

Not entirely sure, I know it depends on the type of battery. I think with the newer ones, there is supposed to be no memory, allowing you to not have to fully run the battery down. Having said that, I still do every once in a while.

There is no memory on the battery but if you charge it always half and never run it down you'll create a memory... It will maybe take 1 year and a half before the memory got created but it will.....

    Hope this helps

Bluetooth is transmitting to the device so turning it off changes battery life I have seen. Saves an hour or so.
