Blackberry 8100 and Jabr BT250V bluetooth

Just a question if someone has an answer. I just received my 8100 and love it. The only problem is that when I press the button on the Jabra, it redials the last number.
The three devices I had this Jabra with before (Motorola Q, Razor, etc) all ask for a command first. Is there something I'm missing.
I've as Jabra to give me an answer and looked through everything I could find on the 8100, but the only way to use voice command through the 8100 is to push the icon/shortcut button while connected? Might as well dial it then.
    thanks
    John

Jabra is about the biggest maker of blue tooth ear pieces. Search them out and you'll see.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~when u put the headset into pairing mode are u holding the vol key up? I seem to remember something about that changing the way that hdst functions with the phone. I'm going from memory currently using moto h850.

Re: Blackberry 8100 and Jabr BT250V bluetooth

I have the 8100 and jabra 250v, and the same problem.

Pressing the voice dial button on the phone - all works OK (voice dial activates).
Press button on wired headset - all works OK.
Press button on Jabra = last no. redial.

Not been able to find a fix for this on the Jabra site, waiting on a response from their support team.

Here's the response i got from Jabra:

"Lamentably none Black berry supports voice dialling over Bluetooth and there's no way around for that. Sorry.

Hey what's going on? I had the same issue with mine. I was having problems where it was a lil static and some one told me to reinstall it. I did that and that single voice touch starting going again. Give it a try.

I have the 8800, but I had the same problems you folks did...until I followed the "enhanced pairing" instructions:
    • delete the old device pairing of the Jabra on the blackberry
    • make sure that the BT250V is off
    • press and hold both the "phone button" and the volume up button until you get a solid blue light
    • Now go back to your blackberry and do a discover to find the BT250V. Remember that the passkey for the Jabra is four zero's (or zeds) "0000"
    • if you've paired successfully, the light will flash rapidly
this worked for me...hope it works for you too!
