    8703e - Bluetooth as modem

Is it possible to use bluetooth connection to use an 8703e bb as a modem or 'live' desktop manager connection. When I use my PC to scan the bluetooth services all I can find is the Headset service.
    Thanks,
    Steven

were you able to get it set up as a modem? If not then who do you have for your service provider?

I use shark modem software. Works over bluetooth, and you don't need some special data plan. Your regular data plan is fine. However, last time I tried it, it only worked about 20% of the time.

    Bb as modem

I can get it to work fine as an internet connection using the USB cable and using the Sprint Connection manager software I was given for my laptop. I'd just like to be able to get rid of the cable and use the bluetooth instead of USB. I've read a lot of other posts now and it looks like the 8703e blackberry only does headset profile with bluetooth. I have seen some other software you an purchase and use it as a modem. Not sure if that's what I want through, right now it's not really a modem dialing up to anything, it's just a 'live' internet connection thru my companies firewall.
