    Hello,

    Does anyone have this working, a 8700 and the DT manager via Bluetooth without a connection to a BES?

    I have tried, but i am unsucsessful.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    I dont think that you can sync with BT...
    it's always greener with the other carrier...

    Refer to the knowledgebase article on Bluetooth sync at RIM's site. There are some requirements to get this working properly.

    I now use a BES but I was able to sync my 8700g with Outlook using DM 4.2 and Bluetooth. The main problem I encountered was that you MUST use Microsoft Bluetooth driver or it won't work. Since those drivers are not that good, many manufacturers replace them with their own driver (for example, I don't believe that MS BT driver lets you use a BT headset with your PC, if that matters to you). How to do so depends on your hardware so Google is your friend on that one.

    Once I got over that step, I just linked my BB with my laptop, configure BT sync in desktop manager (follow takeshi's advice: RIM FAQ can guide you through this) and it worked flowlessly.
