Is this a theme for the 8100

Sorry I am new at this. I saw this background/theme on a Cingular Reps phone when I was getting a 8100. I am assuming it is a theme. Is this theme only found on the 7130 or is it also on the 8100. If not can it be put on the 8100. I like the way the clock is at the top and the bar going across it. Thanks.

Welcome to Pinstakcs,

I think that is the BB Demension Today theme.

I believe you can edit your blackberry.alx file and activate that theme.

Another note on that? You have to actually install the handheld os onto your pc or those file will not reside on it yet.
Another way of looking at it is this? If you get a new phone turn it on and use it then install desktop manager and use the two togther for various things those files will not be on your pc yet. You must download the handheld os to your computer and install it first. After you install to your pc those directories are created and available. Hope that makes sence? or helps? Remember to re-boot your pc dependiing on which version of Winders u are using.

Ok here comes ignorant 101

. I looked on the computer in the area the threads said to look in for the Blackberry.alx. I have not done an actual search. But instead of doing that I need to download the OS that is on my phone onto my computer and install it. Is this done from my phone to the computer or do I download it from the web. Because the OS that is on my phone is a different version from the one that I have seen here. Thanks for the help.

I went to options then about and this is what is on the screen. 4.2.0.69 (Platform 2.2.0.40). I have only had my phone since December 1st with Cingular.

, but how do I do that. To be able to download that os to my laptop and then install it. Can it be done from my phone to my laptop via the desktop manager?
