Re: Y! 2.0 Workaround for ATT Subscribers

Here's one thing that's different about the new YM client. I used to be able to leave a conversation open and see changes in status, even overnight. The conversation would have lines like: "contact" has signed in again, "contact" is idle, "contact" is available, "contact" has signed out, one status saved after another. The desktop client erases all the earlier status messages and only leaves the last one up. Now the BB version does the same thing, which I think is not as useful. I'd rather have the whole history out there.
On the plus side, version 2.0 lets you open a conversation and leave it open, even when the contact is offline.
But I'd consider going back to the old version, unless I can find some other improvements that I haven't noticed yet.
Are there other features of the new version that I should try?

Hey Harry...question. with this version it seems that IMs show up under the main messages folder. is there a way to stop that like in the previous version where they just showed under the application itself?

Duh nevermind...just went into options.

Re: Y! 2.0 Workaround for ATT Subscribers

Hi Harry on page 1 you suggested to one person who after deleting the DESKTOP SYNC service book and her's didn't come back to run the DM synch tool and it would return. I have the same issue here and have run the sync tool twice now. Still not in my service book. Ideas?
Also, I get an odd error message upon connecting my BB to the pc via the usb cable. It says: Email Settings - computer does not know its message account address. either the messaging system is not configured properly or this messaging system is not supported.
FYI i'm on BES and I showed it to our IT admins and they shrugged their shoulders and said "i dunno".

Ideas?

Re: Y! 2.0 Workaround for ATT Subscribers

this issue i'm guessing no.
The missing DESCTOP SYNC service book yes. Just thought you might be able to help with both.
