Help! - I tried this. I have BES and BIS on my 8700C. I got to the part where I drag the Service Book to the right screen. Once I did that nothing happened. My Service books are greyed out, and it will not update them. Help!

Hi Harry, I actually got this to work. I had to delete my service book, DESKTOP SYNC. I was then able to add yours and get it working. Now I need to get the DESKTOP SYNC back. How can I do that?

Thanks Harry. I am concerned as when I was on BIS before I switched to BES that my Desktop manager was set up for BIS. When I switched over to BES, i never changed anything on the desktop manager to indicate it is now a BES setup. How do I do that, or do I need to?

| Re: Y! 2.0 Workaround for ATT Subscribers
Hi. I was using YM 1.0 on AT&T successfully, so I decided to upgrade. First, I downloaded the new software from the BB site. It must have worked, because my Applications lists it as version 2.0. I signed on, and nothing looked different from YM 1.0. It didn't even give me an error. So I went through the process of adding the service book listed here and subtracting out the unused email accounts. Still, YM looks exactly the same to me, and I can't find any new features, such as the ability to send a file. I have to assume that I'm still running the old application. How can I tell if the application really upgraded? Thanks. |

Re: Y! 2.0 Workaround for ATT Subscribers Thanks for the tip! I was close to pulling my hair out trying to make this work, but it went like a charm once I deleted the DESTOP SYNC file. Yahoo Messenger is a go now on my 8700c! SWEET!!!!!
