    Worst 3rd Party App

I haven't really seen to much about some of the worst programs for BB in the threads. So I was just curious to see other user's opinion on what is the WORST app you've downloaded for your BB. Maybe give others a good buyer beware.

My worst is E-Mobile Color Pearl. I bought this just to get BBSmart for free (which was a great deal) and although, i have an 8830, I thought it would be somewhat entertaining to have my LED blink a different color..... I was captivated for 13 seconds...

im+ lite.. I cried.. for days..

I had the same experience with E-Mobile Color Pearl.. bought it to get BBSmart, and a hope to change the led color.. download size 400kb (not on unlimited plans).. I cried again.. but not so much ;p
It was colorpearl application, just way bigger, costed money and looked horrible.. ;p

I'm going to not be specific about the 3rd party app I'm going to post about; partly it's a matter of taste and it wouldn't be fair to say otherwise.

I paid for and downloaded a game, sight unseen (not sure at this time if it had no trial mode) from Handango, and it was huge. At least 10+ .cod modules with the game. I like to keep 25+ megs free on my device and I think this game ate up at least 2 or 3 megs. The game itself was hard to navigate around in, partly due to the lag/latency moving the cursor around. Fortunately it wasn't an action game where speed was required but it almost hurt to play it.

In it's defense, this game may have been updated and optimized since; but at the time it was a horrible experience. It lasted about one day.

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
Please don't flame me but for me it was definately Dynoplex Eoffice. I paid about $200 for the Pro version and since it could never consistently add up a column of numbers I had to trash the product. Repeated communication with the company to try to get my money back only got a 10% coupon for another copy--something I would never wish anyone to use.

Intereseting thread, kind of reminds me of the "razzie" awards poking fun at the Oscars.

Thanks. Hopefully we can get a lot of opinions on here. It might be hard since so many apps for BB are really well put together

I bought apps that I did not like, or was not what I expected I just contacted the developer or the site I bought it from, say for ex: handango and they refunded the cash!!! There is so many one I know is the killer is Password Manager Infodev technologies....I did not like their app after I bought it and test drived it, it had a lot of bugs that needed fixing I contacted them over and over again telling them of the issue and requested a refund...they never gave me my refund so I have it on my phone and I never use it!!!

hm... i like my im+ very much... but the worst i would say is probably blackberry diagnostics... gives you ten pieces of info you can get in the options tab.. waste of space.

    Re: Worst 3rd Party App

None of us want to feel like we've been "taken" by a vendor who doesn't live up to their specifications...but most of the software sellers are good guys - they have to be or they wouldn't stay in business. The competition is too great.

If you’vew had a bad experience, give the vendor a chance to either fix the problem or refund your money. Many of them will do one or the other…and be sure to give them time to respond. Also, before you buy, try to get software that offers a trial and use that time to see if it fits your needs. If you can’t do that ask someone – come to Pinstack and ask here – we have over 300,000 members who try new software all the time and love to “talk BB.”

…and remember, if you're one of those who can't wait to try the latest version or newest program, realize that you're going to have some frustrations with new programs that don't always work (or download) as they should "right out of the can."

I don't mean to sound like a "Polly Anna" – I just wanted to add a little positive air to a negative thread. I Hope all of your experiences are good ones and that my comments will help a little. Happy stacking.
