What does Docs to Go STANDARD do that Attachment Service won't ?

    Hi group,

Just looking at the Standard included Docs to Go that is on OS 4.5. What does Docs to Go offer that BB Attachment Service doesn't offer? AS far as I can tell, the Standard Docs to Go Word doesn't allow you to creat a document... can only read it ?

    Thanks for your help...

It also allows simple editing and also if you save blank .doc files to your memory card you can "edit" those into a new document.

That's correct. With attachments and Docs To Go standard it's "read only". With Docs to Go premium you can create and edit.

Right, however like I said above, there is a very easy work-around, just save a few blank .doc or .docx files as templates then just "edit" them to create a new document

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like I might not be able to create a new doc, but I can edit one that I receive. Well, that is worthwhile I admit. Appreciate your help..

I didn't figure it on my own, learned it here on the Stacks

But premium gives you many more editing options so it may suit your needs better anyway.

For those using it, how well does it work to edit documents on a small screen such as a Bold. I guess I'm skeptical that this is actually a worthwhile editing tool in place of a laptop...

I find it quite useful mj. I make my weekly schedules and edit them and email them to all my employees after I'm done. Quite worth it to have on hand.~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I find it to be super useful. I was able to send my laptop in for repair and work on more than a dozen evaluations in Excel.

Simply phenomenal... only thing I would ask for would be a desktop companion (Like they did on Palm), but in all truth, I don't really need that.
