    Warning to BlackBerry Unite Users!!!

It has come to my attention that using BlackBerry Unite will install a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES)-like IT policy on your BlackBerry device/s!

Some users are also reporting various issues with BlackBerry Unite! including (but not limited to) the Internet browser not appearing and/or working, various data (such as the contacts and/or messages) being deleted and some third-party applications not working...

BEFORE you install BlackBerry Unite!, DO A FULL BACK-UP OF YOUR BLACKBERRY!!!

The IT policy that is installed in client BlackBerry devices is difficult to remove, but with a full back-up close by, the process is significantly easier...

This information may help if you have already used BlackBerry Unite!, prior to backing-up:

The information at the link above relates to removing a BES IT policy, though as I understand it, the information should still be applicable under BlackBerry Unite!...

If I hear differently, I will post the updates here.

The it policy from BBUnite is not nearly as restricting as a BES policy....it only allows the adminstrator to control Phone usage, Browsing, Application installing, Attachment viewing, SMS and MMS messages.

backup is a must before any big install like that.

macallik is so right... And the other option is to let others try it out and see what happens ...then your not up s creek...lol, but if it weren't for those few that jump on the grenade, we would all be dead...so thanks!
