    viigo connection problem???

    After downloading viigo and starting the app, it sits loading for a couple minutes. The error message that finally pops up says "a problem occurred when trying to create or access your account....unable to fetch script. The underlying connection was closed. Unable to connect to the remote server." and I've already tried restarting and redownloading. I even tried changing the connection type(is there a difference between auto and bis when I have bis?)

    Can anyone help? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    auto might want to try TCP (APN) settings, but BIS should connect fine.

    First, I assume you have a data plan (can use your Browser, get and send email). If not, it won't work.

    If I remember correctly I had the same problem the first time I tried it. Pull the battery and try it again (after you put the battery back in of course!).

    Open the app, click the Menu button (button to the left of the trackball) and select Options, then Network Settings. It looks like by default it's set to Auto. I'm on a BES and didn't have any problems. If that's not working, try the other settings. If all else fails, try using TCP. If TCP fails, try setting your APN. Search the forums for APN Settings or AT&T APN Settings - try to use the most recent posting. I'll try to drop the link if I come across it.

    Yes, I have a BIS account/plan.

    I've now tried the auto, BIS-B, and
    TCP connection types but still get the same error message. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. I've also tried restarting the program and rebooting my pearl.

    Seems to be an odd problem to me.

    Try going to Options --> Advanced Options --> TCP, and enter the following information:
    APN: wap.cingular
    username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
    password: CINGULAR1
    I believe the entries are case sensative.

    Thanks! I used to icon hunt, what can I say Good idea for the settings, but it looks as though they were already set as you suggested. I'm running version 2.2.82 not sure if that matters

    Since everything else seems to have been suggested, you might try adjusting the app permissions to allow everything, just to verify if the app then works. If so, then try tightentng the permissions, one by one. That might tell you (or us) something.

    Yes adjusting the permissions might help, this is often the case.

    Yay! It's working now! I am currently registering with Viigo.
