Hello fellow stackers. Stephen here, a/k/a, The Firefishe. I've been pondering an idea regarding whether or not it would be possible to stream video to a BB 8700 through a special setup of some kind. It would require a decent amount of compression, I would think, and that could be handled by the server side of things. The program for the BB, itself, would decode the heavily compressed video stream and display it to the user through a special algorithm which prevents any overt slowing of the stream. Here's what I'm considering: 1) The video stream could be handled like any other Push Service, with the requisite software being seamless on the BB Server and perhaps could be made as a slide-in (if you will) component of the MDS. 2) A small, on-board math library could be used to specifically access and work together with the Push Video Service BB Server component, and voila! BB Video! Reviews by my peers welcome. Please comment. Warm regards, Firefishe |
