    Question Verizon (force extended network?)

I have a 8700 and Verizon. Is there any software out there that will force the Blackberry into extended coverage ? My house is on the very edge of the Verizon coverage area and I cannot get calls to go through or calls get dropped all the time. If I go in the basement then it bumps it into extended coverage and I have great reception. Is there any software out there that can force the phone to only work on extended coverage. my wife has a LG and it can be forced to work that way

Check to see if you can change the network settings. You need to change it from Automatic to Manual and choose the extended network signal. Be careful with this (fine print), Verizon does have the right to cancel your contract for extended use of roaming (which is what extended network is).

No it only lets you choose auto or home only. It was Verizion that set my wifes phone that way.
