    Question Ubertwitter

I'm trying to get Ubertwitter to work on my curve 8310 with Rogers, and it won't let me connect to it because of some I.T policy. The phone was bought from the store, so there's no I.T policy installed in my phone. I have checked to make sure my advanced network options is correct. But still it doesn't seem to work. Does anybody know how to make the Ubertwitter to work on my berry?
    Any help would be appreciated

    thanks in advance!

What does it say when you try to set it up?

it says "the application Ubertwittter has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall which is not allowed by your I.T policy"
and it gives me the option to click "ok".

Try turning your firewall off. See if that changes anything.

it won't let me disable my firewall. there's no option for it. there's a red lock symbol right beside where it says "enable"

Did you reset after downloading? I remember having the same problem on my storm with pandora. Had the it policy and locked firewall disable. I think I just did a reset and it worked. If not try deleting and re- downloading twitter. If that doesn't work you can always try another OS.

Maybe somebody else will jump in later on this morning.

Are you on bis or bes? If it is a personal phone then the firewall should be open on default..it certainly should have the option to disable. Call rogers blackberry support and they will fix you up.

SG, like I said, I hd the same problem on my storm with pandora. I don't have bes or ever been on it. I think she said she had just bought it from the store.

Try going to Options - Advanced Options - tcp/ip - and check Apn settings enabled and enter in internet.com below. Then check apn auth enabled and type in wapuser1 as username and wap as the password.

See if that works. Good luck.

I had this problem once before. Are you sure you downloaded the newest version of ubertwitter? The old version does not work for BIS. They made a new version around the beginning of April and an even newer version a few weeks ago

What I found out about the old version is that you have to select BIS, not Auto, to make it work. Something about the Auto selection didn't work.
