If any thing like the has already been posted I am sorry I havent seen it. I am looking for a software That I can put birthdays and other important dates In my Blackberry one time and set them to add to the calander yearly. The other thing I would like Is to beable to set reminders for differnt times such as a week before or two or three days. And ideas would be appericated.

For your birthday issue, put the birthday in the addressbook, go to you calendar and go to the birthday one year ahead and select delete series. After the series has been deleted you should be able to delete the birthday reminder of this year and still have birthday show up in your address book.

As far as setting different reminders, there could be a 3rd party app, but I just set multiple tasks.

    Maybe because im on 4.2?

I go to a contact in my address book, edit and scroll down, its not there, crap load of other stuff, but no bday.. Of course i can change a field name and make my own but then it doesnt see it as a real birthday, and I can enter it in notes, but same thing.

When you add a new item to the calendar it should give you the option to set "recurrence" to Yearly....I will double check a 4.2 device to be sure....

Do you sync with a desktop program?

Could be an OS thing. In fact, I think it is because I don't think I ever noticed it prior to upgrading to 4.5.

Thanks for all of your help. It sheds some light I was just wanting to know if there was any software that would be a little more user frindly. But I will play arround with the calander and get it working thanks.

BTW I confirmed that my 8100 with 4.2 does have the recurring appointment selection. Enter the birthday as an all day event and set it to reoccur yearly and you should be all set.

Update your OS, when you do, you will find a Birthday field in the Address Book for your contacts. Just enter the date and it will update your calendar every year

The only bad thing is the reminder is 4 AM
