    Security & Cameras on BB

    Hi all,

I wonder if any of you can help...

    I've got a Curve 8310 on a BES 4.0.

I'd like to purchase a home security type solution, whereby I can veiw the live (or nearly live) images that are being captured from the cameras, on my Blackberry while i'm out and about. Even better, to able to recieve an alert on my BB when there's alarm so I can then go in take a look around.

Is there anything out there that can do this?

    Thanks all...

Not sure about MobiScope (sp?) by Shape and what all it does.

Back in the day I used a program called "Bulldog" I think. It worked very well.

    Thanks guys...i'll check these out.

Done a quick search on Bulldog, not getting much luck. If you find a link, I'd really apperiate it.

If there are any more solutions you can recomend, please let me know.

I'd always rather go to a place that's been recommended. I's always check it out first, but it's nice to hear your feedback on your experiences.

    Thanks

    It may have been watchdog.

I can't remember. I did a quick google search for "watchdog security software" and it came up, but that one doesn't look like the one I used back in the day.

Plus, I didn't pay anything for it I don't think.

Mobiscope is the way to go here. I have it running on with my webcam in my office and can see everything that is going on right from my 8700.

    Another option

Here is yet another one that lets you stream webcam to phone.

I've used it on my Pearl

    J2MEWebCam
    http://www.drhu.org

    Found it on www.getjar.com

Its cheap, and you can get the client and server setup to stream cams to phone for a couple of bucks.

I use http://www.live-stream.net/_index.html?ts=1218835142421 for my monitoring purposes.
They allow up to two cameras for free but any more after that and you have to pay for it.

You can also view other public cams from your phone if you want and it comes with free motion detection and capture.
