| RIMs Instant Messengers AIM, WLM, ICQ on your BB *May not work on all carriers Thought i would share on how to put RIMs IM clients onto your bb. im currently running on tmobile with the 8100 and 8800. not sure if it will work on other carriers, but its easy enough to give it a try. here are the steps I took first delete all other messaging apps and go through and delete all service books. this can be done on the phone or via DM. download and install the 8320 Im Service books below and use the 'restore' option in desktop manager and load the ipd file onto your bb. Then go ahead and download the RIM IM Clients below and install alx file with AppLoader. Then re send all your service books/other IM clients. do a batt pull and whola. might have to give it a fews tries to connect. im not good at directions so if any help is needed, let me know Last edited by reddog187; 12-18-2007 at 09:16 PM. |

What i did was just manually delete the service books (Options>>Advanced Options>>Service Books>>*Menu > Delete*). I didn't lose any of my messages including SMS/SMS/E-mails. And i don't think it'll do any damage. Just got to re-send the service books tho. And if you're really worried about it just create a Back-UP with DM. ^o^ I find it totally worth it.. I hate OZ.. :P |
