Real-time GPS tracking
If you have a GPS-enabled BlackBerry, you have to check out InstaMapper -- a new (launched 1 month ago) real-time tracking service for cell phones. There are plenty of things you can do with InstaMapper:
1) See the current location of your phone on Google Maps
2) Record a track and export it in CSV and Google Earth KML formats
3) Embed a map with your current location on a blog
Best of all, the service is 100% free. The client software can be downloaded OTA.

using it right now. exactly what i needed when i lost my phone...
seems pretty simple...nice find!
Does it eat your battery?
At 1 minute update rate, my BlackBerry 8310 lasts about 8 hours.

I was using GPSed(never really worked right) and then Blip(worked fine but only updates every 15mins)...to get updates every minute or even 5 mins is just what Ive been looking for!
i am using mobiletracker from the guys at skylab. works really nice too
i noticed that i can't track my phone's location unless i send the info from the phone. am i doing something wrong?
i thought that the signal would be sent from my phone automatically. so in case my phone was lost or stolen, i would be able to see it where it was.
hope i made sense....it's been a long day
Unless you use Verizon.

very nice little program.
To track your phone, the tracking software needs to be running (possibly in the background). Is this what you were asking?

i have one in? the option settings do i set the send every 5 seconds to like every 300 so it doesnt drain out my battery
I wish this could work on BB that aren't GPS enabled.
It could maybe get the coordinates by cell tower triangulation like google maps.
