After much anticipation and some back and forth from the developers and AOL, the new FREE Ramble IM client for BB is ready.

The program itself has not changed much, but the communication with the AOL servers has been revamped. There have been some people having trouble with their buddy list. As a reminder, Ramble mirrors an AIM account that has already been established and set up. The developer is aware of the problem and is trying to replicate it in order to correct it.

i am using version 0.9.10.8 it seems to be working fine, but is this using sms or data? I was under the assumption all version of ramble uses data

Data. SMS is only used when you use the T-Mobile IM client from OZ.

Bumping this thread for some help:

I've downloaded and installed RambleIM, and I think everything's been configured properly. However, when I try to log in, I get the following error message after about 3 minutes of "Logging In, Please Wait":

Invalid Connection String:
Unable to open connection.

Obviously, not everything was as configured as I thought it was.

I'm a Canadian using Telus Mobility's MIKE network (Much like Nextel in the States). Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've a 7520 running 4.1.0.273 (platform 1.5.0.38)
