I had quit October 2007 for 8 months, I walked around with a pack of toothpicks to throw in my mouth every time I craved a cigarette, and it actually worked! Quitting was very easy for me!

This past may, i went to Florida with a bunch of my friends, and started smoking there, and ever since i got back I cant stop. I keep telling myself, i don't smoke as much, and it doesn't hurt to have one here and there, but I really want to quit and the toothpicks aren't working anymore lmao!

I'm still not buying packs, but i've become the guy I used to hate as a smoker, a CONSTANT BUMMER!

How much is a pack/carton of cigs now? Back when I smoked in the late 80's I was outraged when a pack of Marlboro Lights was $.75, and a carton was in the $7.00 range.

Interestingly, I not only smoked, but dipped Coppenhagen as well. I left the cigs without any problems, but the dip was very hard to quit. It was so easy to get a pinch of tobacco regardless of where you were. I'm sure the nicotine levels you take in that way had something to do with it.

It's been 20 years now since I quit, and every once in a while I still think about it. I should have listened to my dad and never started either! :~

For a pack there about 5 bucks and for a cartoon they are like 35 to 40 bucks. I'm trying to quite my self. Been a way from them for a few weeks. When ever I have the need to smoke, I just pop some altoids or other hard candy and eat them.

I myself am not a smoker but I think in Canada its like $12+ for a pack of cigarattes such as Du Maurier..That in itself would be a good motivation to quit itself
