Dallas, as I have stated in previous posts, i don't believe that Mobi requires a SD Card, but if the memory on his BB is insufficiant, then he will get the error he is describing. As stated I had suggested that he invest in a inexpensive card as it would only help.

Maybe you can uncover some info that I did not. More minds can only help

Another option is to just drag your book file to the ebooks folder on your SD card (once you get one ). If you enable mass storage, you will see that folder (it's not inside the main Blackberry folder) and can simply drag and drop the file. I started doing this because I was having the same problem as you with transferring via mobipocket desktop - and it works very well.

I am trying that now. It also seems you need to have over 3mb file free. look at this post on the 2nd link that mcconnell posted.

I actually did delete all data plus all extra programs. I was able to load several ebooks. However, with MobiPocket showing 3+MB free, I was unable to load any more books...kept getting the transfer error. Blackberry status shows 30,817,501 bytes "file free" but I guess not all of this is available to MobiPocket?

The wierd thing is and the one I cannot figure out is that he stated that he had over 20mb free....that should be more than enough.

Hey guys I am back, from what I gather from all of this is that BlackBerry uses more than one kind of memory. MB's don't play much a factor here, but that again if that were true would a memory card really help? So confusing, but I will be giving the card a try soon and get back to all of you.

    Thanks for your help today!

    Found this on google.

Sony 2GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Card - Price Range: $21.85 - $152.99 from 5 sellers.
    1 gb is like 20 -30 dollars

    ~EDIT~

    Also on google.
Hopefully this gives you an idea of what the ranges are. Now I gotta go weight lift so see you later.

Bsjmcconnell, hi newbie here. I'm having problems with mobipocket on my BB pearl. Everytime I try to open it the error java.lang.nullpointer pops up. What do I do? ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
