The menu item to view the advisory would remain, but the indicator on the icon and the widget would be hidden after the advisory has been acknowledged.

Another option: The large advisory indicator on the widget would be hidden after opening the advisories and replaced by a small icon.
I like the first option better of the two, but either one would work.

I like the idea of the advisory in the app/widget changing to a small icon, still there as a reminder that its still active, but if a new one was posted it would return to how it displays now. As far as the advisory on the icon, I'm back and forth about that one. Will be fine with either I guess.

I kind of like the 2nd option but I'll accept either choice too.

Either way is fine with me really, finnaly got the menu to work again, and haven't seen that pesky error message in a bit.

So I just got an advisory for my town. I really like the addition of the advisory warning on the icon.

I think I would prefer option 2. I would like it to come back if the advisory were updated.

I haven't had the bug... Mainly because my phone never turns off and I don't do many calls... My max consumption is data...

As far as the advisory preference... I'd like to see a small advisory icon when the advisory is issued and it can go away once I've acknowledged it... If the advisory changes, the icon can come back... So basically, option #1...

    So far so good otherwise...

Sheesh, sleep for a few hours and I have 6 or 7 pages to read...

Is it possible instead of having the alert symbol on the icon, having the background of the icon turn red during the alert and for the durration of the alert? Just a thought.
    ~via smartphone mobile.pinstack.com~

If they did that then they should remove red as one of the options for the Homescreen Icon. I mean, I have it set to red already. How would I know there was an alert? Or Do you mean the whole Icon itself?

I like the little triangle alert but a red icon background would be okay too.

lol.. I felt like that this morning when I woke up too. So many good ideas and lots of feedback. Interesting ideas.

This advisory alert will be great when/if it gets linked up with Berry Buzz. way cool. Told me that there will be high winds and dust on my trip tomorrow. I'll keep it by my side in the car and make sure I check it alot.

If they decide to do the back ground maybe they could animate it by making it flash until we read it and then stay solid during the length of the alert.

Yeah they'd probably have to remove red and a few others. It doesn't really matter, just a suggestion.

I'm still slightly irritated about having to re-order after batt pull.
Apparently I'm the only one having it.

After you set your order, did you try menu/exit and then see if it saves it after the batt pull? I haven't messed with my order at all on the version, I will test.

Order set. Move second to first. Set as home. Reboot-back to second. Doesn't seem to matter if set to home before or after the move. Done it three times today.

I had deleted a town and added another before the last update. When I did the update, the new town was gone and the old one was back. I can't remember if I exited the program first before doing the battery pull. So far not having any issues with locations moving.

Battery update. I've just been on email and bbm since the last check. My battery is at 45% now. Just remembered that I also had used google maps this afternoon and didn't exit completely so Latitude was running as well. I don't think there's a battery drain with the alerts. 3 towns with alerts including my own location.
