    then 2 minutes later
    Current time: 12:39
    Just Updated
Conditions observed at 11:47(almost one hour ago)

How come when it updated @ 12:09 it did not update to conditions observed at 11:47? It still showed conditions from 10:47 until the next update.

I understand that the weather stations may only update every hour but don't understand why the update of the app from 12:09 did not reflect the updated conditions from 25 minutes earlier. It took another 30 minutes for the app to get the conditions and by then they were almost an hour old.

Is this because your servers are not polling for updates often enough from your weather source?

Not sure whether this is the correct explanation for this, but I will try ;-)

The "observed" time is the time the weather station recorded the conditions in their system. It is not the time this data has been submitted to our weather source. This may take some more time. So a condition observed at 11:50 may not be available to us at 12:00.

The BerryWeather update interval is independent from the observation times. BerryWeather simply asks our servers for the latest available data at regular intervals.

For example if the interval is set to 3 hours. If BerryWeather is checking for new data at 11:50 but nothing is available it will re-check at 14:50. If new data became available at 12:00, you would still see that old data for another 3 hours.

This is actually how all the weather apps work, they just do not show the observation time which makes it feel more up-to-date ;-)

I am still having to reset my home every time I reboot to have the current condition on my home screen. No biggy may just be the theme.

alright, on 3.77 and i now notice the temperature on the icon shown below..

not sure how much i enjoy this feature.. if this could be controlled under the settings, it would be much appreciated. I know this is just my own opinion but it kind of just takes away from the appearance.

I,for one, like it. Exactly what I was looking for. It goes great w/red in my vader wallpaper.
Actually a little better than the WB temp, like bbweather you get both temp and condition @ a glance.

    Thanks for the explanation pfluger.

@moderncowboy, weird, I just have to click the umbrella to open the app then go back to my home screen and the weather is displayed. I don't have to reset my home city...

Home setting stayed this time but I still have to open the app once for it to show on homepage.

I like the icon showing the temp. Not real fond of the color but better than before.

Yeah, that is weird, Randy. Even after I updated to the most current version, all I had to do was click on the app, it loaded and displayed on the home screen. By the way, I have to do this with BBWeather as well.

Thanks for adding the temp to the home screen icon, guys!

Now if you can just find a way to add severe weather alerts, this will be the ultimate weather app, IMO!

in Seattle right now and it's 46 degrees outcast. (recently updated)

with the app now on my home screen, the text when highlighting the app shows 43 degrees.. it's correct though when i hit the bb button to show the rest of the icons.
