    Opera Mini Problems

    During the setup process I always get to 8/9 and 89% before it says can not find connection. Why is this when I always have a connection? I've tried over 7 times in 7 different areas outdoors. I have Tmobile, and I can't figure this out... Can anyone help?

    have you set your APN?

    located here
    options>advanced options>TCP
    for tmo USA
    apn wap.voicestream.com
    user and pass are blank

    I just tried this and I got:

    Error

    Exception: null

    I can't figure it out.

    for apn did you put in only
    wap.voicestream.com

    my pearl doesn't like putting the r in double check the setting

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ I can browse web content though there seems to be a problem with changing the options or prefrences.

    davisson, have you tried a batt pull?
    phone on batt out 30 sec then back in

    Have you tried to delete the the IPPP for BIBS ? I know that for my 7100i If I am not able to get a connection after a battery pull, I delete this service book, reboot my phone, then it will reload the packet back into the service book and the connection will work.

    Am I suppose to enter the Gateway and gateway port somewhere? If yes, how do I get there? Found my browser after I resent service books btw.

    Glad you got it back, I was just about to tell you to undelete it if it were to remove your browser, excellent. Sorry about the issue you're having, have you contacted T-Mobile Tech for this?

    Ok just downloaded the new Opera 4 and still cannot get a connection to the internet with it (as with the older version).

    My TCP is set to wap.voicestream.com and my emulation is set to Blackberry but still no luck.

    The error message says:

    error net.rim.device.cldc.io.waphttp.WAPIOException:null

    anyone have any clue what that means? thanks.

    I got mine to work by running the initial browser setup in the t-mobile store, I had tried everything previously mentioned, battery pull, apn setting, etc and as a last ditch effort I ran the setup at the store and it went through in seconds
