Opera Mini Need Miracle

Okay so Ive addicted to the pearl for about to months and have been trying to quench my thirst with the elusive opera mini browser.

I've done the following

APN: wap.voicstream.com
user blank
pass blank

App permissions are set to ALLOW

Firewall is OFF

Installed new version of OS ATT 4.2.1.96
Google Maps works flawlessley. BB Weather Works, Quick PLayer Works, BB Browser Works, Google Talk works most of the time. I do not subscribe to the 19.99 plan only BB Voice Enhancement Plan.

I have installed opera mini 3.1.2 and also the 4.0 beta

I get Failed to connect to the internet every time i try.

What am i missing?

who is your provider? there are diff APN settings for each carrier

man i've been having that same exact problem. My provider is Cable & Wireless Anguilla. For my APN i have " internet " but still receive connection failed error when it reacheds 19/20.

if you have that exact setting it's spelled wrong, also as kayos said voicestream.com is the setting if your provider is T-mobile.

It might possibly be another 3rd Party App that is interferring with it. I had Opera Beta working, and then I installed SimulSays, and after that it would not connect. I tried everything to get it to, and couldn't get it working. I deleted SimulSays, and its back up and working.

So, what other 3rd Party Apps do you have besides the ones you listed?

found this for ya, there is a setting for provider gateway for cable&wireless anguilla. can you enter that setting? sorry I'm on tmo, just helpin

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~my provider is tmobile I can't think of any third party apps except for google maps google mail and some games ill try deleting those to see if that makes a difference. My bro and sis have the same issue as well

Nope just a typo that i typed here. Its voicestream.com

I just dont get whats going on since all other apps are able to get on just not opera.

Do you have a BB data plan? I read on the Opera forums T-mobile now blocks Opera on their cheap data plan

I struggled for weeks with getting Opera 3.1 to work on my phone as well. I checked and checked the APN settings, to no avail. THEN I noticed that my "wap.voicestream.com" had a space or two behind it, so it was actually "wap.voicestream.com ".. This spaces were causing me my problems. As soon as I deleted them, Opera started to work perfectly. The 4.0 beta works as well.

WOW!!! Thanks.... that was my problem... and I have been struggling for MONTHS to figure out what the issue was.....
