    No 'xxxx is typing' message

I just loaded JiveTalk yesterday, and having no problems - I only use MSN Messenger for chat. The one difference I noticed is that I don't get the notification that the other party is typing, as I do with other chat products. Not major, but it does let you know that the other party is about to send a message. Is this the way JiveTalk is supposed to work, or should I be seeing this 'notification'?
I tried to fail, but I did not succeed.

I have JiveTalk, and never see that option. I didn't think it was an option...

I think it would use extra data traffic , plus it has to keep the connection to active chats open at all times to have this functionality, thus drain the battery more .
Or am i totally wrong here .
