I don't think it can be done. I Checked the Help Guide. It says it's to chat with other Yahoo Messenger users. Nothing about other IM networks.

This is yahoo messenger client only! I was saying its better thEn the yahoo mess client part in jivetalk for now, since it's free and has some good improvements in v2.0

    Re: New Yahoo Messenger

mine kind of works with MSN contacts that i have added to my yahoo ID.

I can see the contacts and send them IM's but they can not reply. I have to log out and log back in to receive these messages (which come through then)

Its weird. But i think we may have to wait for a patch.

There are actually only 3 service books needed from the 22 that are included in Harry's file.

Anyone can download them by clicking here. This download contains only the service books required to use Yahoo! Messenger v2 on AT&T/Cingular devices.

For detailed instructions on how to get this working, read this post. Just substitute the download in the post, with the one above.

I think I did read somewhere that a module from the old version was still listed and once they removed that, it worked ok? You could check that out before having to do more than what is needed like I did.
After two days of trying to fix "Uncaught exeception: java.lang.Error", I came to this post. I deleted the YM 1.0.95 Module at the end of the list. Restarted the device when prompted and there it was the new Version 2.0.33.
