    New BB Podcast App

Hey guys.. I'm working on an app for BlackBerry that will download podcasts to the SD card. It's based loosely off of the Nokia Podcasting application on S60.

What features do you think an app like this should have? Would you be willing to pay for an app like this, and if so, what do you think a fair price would be?

I've attached some screen shots of the current version of the app. Any comments on the ui, featureset, or anything else would be greatly appreciated.

It looks good. I wouldn't buy it because I'd probably only use it once to test it, and then just go back to my itouch. What would be the response if your sd card ran out of space?

Yeah I've been waiting for Viigo for a while. I actually started this because I didn't want to wait for Viigo anymore.

Seems like the sweetspot for something like this is somewhere between free and a couple bucks.

That is true, and it's free. edit:at the moment at least

if you had some pull in the webosphere you could get your $$ from the people offering the podcasts. I'm sure if I had a chance to get my podcasts to bigger audience it would have to be worth something...

I'd prob be like the above, though, I would likely not pay for it as would be a test only. also, I use itunes and media sync which keeps me in tune...

Not a bad looking application. Any chance for video feeds as well? What about support for the BlackBerry Storm?

I'd pay a one-time fee for it if it works well. I'd love to have that capability. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I agree with jblackfish. I'd pay a one time fee as well. I don't always take my iTouch with me, so this would be pretty cool.

j_llama: it doesn't look at what the RSS/podcast feed links to, so although i've only been using it for MP3s it could download any content type, including video.

it does support the storm natively too

anyone interested in helping beta test?
