I think the alarm clock icon on the homescreen changes color to indicate an alarm is active. Mine changes from a blue face when no alarm is set to a yellow color face when an alarm is set. Hope that helps.

    Lightbulb Suggestion...

Hello BBSmart crew, thank you for a great app

I know everyone is in "bata mode" now for all the new OS updates, so I thought this might be a good time to mention this...

I would like to make a request for a function/feature enhance.

I would like to program alarms to listen to instructional/Podcasts that are 1hr or so long, is there a way to get the alarm to just play the mp3 of my choice till the end and play in the background while multitasking?

    Suggestion:

Maybe a select box in alarm settings called: Run.
This would disable the repeat function, if selected.

When the Run alarm is launched/timed, a window appears to announce the alarm action, with the options: background/stop/pause.

Maybe add "S.A. pro" to the Menu selection when in Run mode to activate a window with the options: stop/pause/resume.

I think this would be a great addition

Well, thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon what you think of this function...

If you have a podcast saved someone on your BlackBerry (device memory or media card) you should be able to select it to play as an alarm tone.

As for selecting it to go through podcasts automatically, or go into background, I'm not sure if it can do that. I don't think it can.

    Good ideas though .

    Thanx lucky13mt

Yes it plays the podcast as alarm, but, only for 60 sec. or so and goes into snooze function

Change the Repeat option to Forever in the alarm's settings and see if that fixes it.

Also, try emailing them your suggestions here:

I just tried it on mine, and mine also snoozes automatically after 1 minute. I guess I never let the alarm go long enough lol. I usually jump right out of bed when it goes off.

I'm going to email them this suggestion and see if it can be an option for future versions to have "Auto Snooze" turned off or if you can choose how long before it snoozes.

This (along with BB Alerts) is the first app I bought for my new BB; I was looking for an alarm replacement for "The Butler" I was using on my recently retired Treo650.

I am very pleased ... but I wish I could shut the alarm up faster. My BB locks with a password after an hour, and unlocking it in the morning when I am staggering around not in my head, half asleep is tricky. ;-)

I just need to remember to either holster the BB or lay it on the case so the magnet makes it think it's holstered, I guess that'll shut it up faster.
