This is what I need to wake up: The alarm goes off, and displays a string of 10-20 random numbers and letters. There's no snooze button or cancel, you have to enter the numbers and letters to shut the alarm off.

I would definately pay money for an alarm app that did that.
Hi, BenMarvinI remember to read this before. I think it don't be so hard to program. Please try MyAlarm program first to be sure it works well on your BB model. I think it works well with any BB OS heater than 4.0.Let me know to add this feature.Rodolfo

    Re: MyAlarm

Hi again, after check the API documentation the program only works on BB with OS 4.2 and later.
For older OS I will adapt a previous version of my program with limited functionality.

I'm using a Curve with the 4.2.2.67 I think I should be good. Unless you have an OTA link, I'll have to wait to install. I'm running on only Linux right now, can't use Desktop Manager.

    Re: MyAlarm

BenMarvin, take a look at my page, now there is the alarm code option! You need to enter a 10 digit random number to turn the alarm off. Also I add a link to a .jar file, so you dont need Desktop Manager to install it (look in my pge if you dont know how to do it...).

Simply827, thats great! Look the new update!

    Re: MyAlarm

I'm trying to install the newest version. It fails to install via Blackberry Desktop in Windows and says that this is not an app for my device which is the Pearl. I download the .jar file and try the instructions on your site for installing it this way but it gives me the error " 907 Invalid JAR Descriptor missing required attribute MIDIet-1"

    What could possibly be wrong?

    Question Re: MyAlarm

    Hi!
In previous version, do you have any problem?
PM your email so I can send it to you if the downloaded file is corrupt.
which OS do you have in your BB Pearl?

Windows can change the .jar extension to .zip when you download it.

    Re: MyAlarm

Hi, I fix the instructions on my page... To install the app without Desktop Manager, download and copy to the BB the cod and jad files to the same directory. Then browse using Media ->Menu Explore and select the jad file. Then the app will install. Now I'm sure.

    Saludos
