So this morning I am goofing off at work, the bosses are out of town and I am surfing the net to my heart's content Don't worry, I will get all my work done!Anyway, I headed over to the Mobihand store to look for new software for my BB and saw a free app called MetroNome. Do I have any need for a metronome, absolutely NOT! Do I have the need to try it if it's free, ABSOLUTELY! So I installed the app, in the description it says, scroll up and down to control the tone/frequency and left/right to control the BPM. Volume is controlled by the volume key. Simple enough, I launch the app, it defaults at 100 BPM a d tone(Hz) 440 and had a green dot that flashes i time with the tone, but the volume is very low, can hardly here it, hit the volume up key a few times and no change then my BB suddenly reboots ![]() Being the glutton for punishment that I am, I try it again, this time I play with the frequency and BPM for a minute, try to turn it up again and it rebooted again. ![]() So I decide to see if it is a volume issue and try a 3rd time, no reboot this time even though I messed with the volume button. But the response time to scrolling was laggy and it seemed to pause occasionaly just briefly. This was my experience with it on my 8330 running 4.5.0.127. It claims to be compatible with all BBs from the 8100-9000 If anyone else wants to give it a try it's here |

Instead of using a metronome application, you can copy mp3 files to your smartphone or any other mp3 player and play them for a range of beats. Go to reztronics.com and click "Metronome". Note that although the page says that these files are for iPods, these files should work on any mp3 players. They work on my BlackBerry Tour.

After your experience Rog you expect us to try ? No thanks! We're not all suckers for punishment...not with some little useless application. Thanks for the warning! |
