i had the perl a while back then switched to the htc tytn and came to use excel mobile a lot,ive now discovered that blackberry is MUCH better than HTC..so dont waste your time and money.
is there a similar program around for the perl? if so where can i get it, i tried to put a excel file on my memory card and open it but i coundnt figure out how so i just deleted it.
i use the program to organise bills and payments on them.

Use gridmagic it has a 15 day trial but after 15 days you can still use it. Just don't have as much features . I use it to keep track of my payroll for my staff when I am on the go. After the 15 days is over you just lose features like colouring etc etc but editing fields and common features are still available. Best one out there. Easy to sync to your laptop. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

GridMagic is the best in my opinion after using it for 6 months, I bought the full version, and keep lots of data on my bb. I manage a fleet of 160 vehicles with all the maintenance and severeal other spread sheets still have plenty of memory and and open and work with them all.

    Question

Hi, newbie here, I am also interested in installing something that can read excel on my bb 8100. Most of the terms are still foreign to me, can you tell me please what ota install means?

    Thanks,

    Jacques

OTA install means "Over-The-Air". Which is a way to download directly to your BB without using your DM (Desktop Manager)

    Lightbulb

OK, I got it. I just saw a forum question on this by Hayden. I am suppose to type in the file url from the bb and it should download itself and install the software.

I tried it but bb says it cannot find the site. I will try the other browser icon.

    cheers,

    Jacques

    Thumbs up

Ok, I got it to download, I guess I wasn't in the right place to call up a web page or url.

    Cheers,

    Jacques
