Items reappearing after I mark them as opened

Lately, I've been seeing the same items reappear alot.
I mark then as open, but tomorrow they reappear.
How can I debug this?

I had this issue in two different ways and just cleared it up a while ago. A few questions to clarify:

Is it all the items in your inbox that are showing up again, or just one or two?
Are you using BIS or BES?

My issues were with a gMail account on BIS, and also with an HTML email viewer and the "Auto-More" function. Any chance you're using gMail as well?
