    Issue with License Key Disappearing From IM+

    Just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this?

    I did once when I reloaded the OS and forgot to do a backup, but anyways...

    Today I was trying to send a message and it wasn't going through...So I clicked Close All...When I tried to restart IM+, its asking for the license key (which of course I don't have anymore).

    I have already sent an email to shape to retrieve it, but just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before? Wondering if it's something that I may have done or if it just happened out of the blue...

    The only time I can recall it ever asking me for the key is after loading a new OS. I email all my keys to a central email account and save them in a folder.

    same here... I took a day to clear up. i think they have to do something to make your reg # stick to your account and blackberry. Email Shape about it...

    Let's clarify this situation.

    If you update OS or reinstall IM+, it will ask you for registration code. This is a normal situation.
    In other cases it shouldn't do so, but in fact it sometimes does.
    We haven't yet found a reason.

    I will raise this question to our developers once more. We will see what we can do.

    Hey Victoria...Thanks, got your email...Funny thing is I checked my saved messages and it was in there from the last time I did an OS upgrade and lost it...So sorry about that.

    I am not sure if it's something I did on my device that may have caused it to lose it?

    Recently I have ran a diagnostic on it and activated my firewall if that helps you all troubleshoot anything?

    If I was to use im+ does it count as text messages and get charged by vzw per message. I do have email and web capabilities with my 7130e. Just curious is all would hate to have a huge bill come next billing period.

    Hey Victoria...

    I forgot to mention...I have also been experiencing a "SID connection to server lost, reconnecting" (or some verbage of that nature). Any way that might be part of the issue?

    Our development and testing departments will investigate this situation.

    Unfortunately, this problem is not very easy to troubleshoot, because it happens from time to time.
