Funny thing is that my father works for SRA...

In any case, I highly recommend Ramble. Wish you could arrange the groups, but other than that, it's great!

    I had IM+ for a long time...didn't love it, didn't hate it...since I moved to JiveTalk, I can't be happier.

    hi!

does anyone have any idea about the file size for BB messenger, YM and google talk for BB? can BB messenger and google talk be installed through the desktop? (based on my research, YM can be downloaded via desktop)

here i come from, there's no unlimited data plan for BB services and we're being charged per kilobyte downloaded and uploaded. i'm trying to minimize cost so i'm a bit worried if i install the programs OTA instead of through the desktop.

also, do i understand it correctly that for programs which can be downloaded through the desktop computer (and not directly to the BB c/o its browser), the programs can be transferred to the BB using the desktop manager's application loader program?

Yes these programs can be installed from your desktop manager program:
    http://www.blackberry.com/GoogleTalk/index.do from your PC
    http://www.blackberry.com/YahooDownload/index.do from PC

as for the size OTA it is: Yahoo 148,584 and Google Talk 225,876

On my tmobile 8700 my I'm work well better than my 7105t. And the yahoo messaenger worked well. But I've had a lot of problems with the oz client on my device so I download jive talk and so far so good. So my question is how do I get the oz client off my device. I tried deleting it from my device and its still there?~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

first, for pearl users, don't attempt to download bb messenger from the web. it (the version downloadable from the web) won't work with the pearl.

where i'm from, i can use YM, google talk and bb messenger. all part of my BIS data plan.

$20 is cheap for the functionality offered by JT. For $29.99 you get a user license that is transferable between devices. One-time fee...no subscription. I had to get my license right away and I'm not a heavy IM user. Figured I'd get it now while it's on a special price since it may go up down the road.
