I think the RIM Yahoo and RIM Google Talk are the best free programs for those specific services. Never once had any problems with them when I tried them, they look great and similiar to the actual PC versions and they are made by RIM. If only RIM released an AIM version.......

For free Multiple Providers there is no doubt at all JT is the best and only free one. <<NOTE: if it is free after Beta no one knows..>> It probbaly will be the best pay program too when its out of Beta but not sure about cost.

For paying Multiple programs at this time, IM+ is nice at $50 (I bought it before JT Beta came out else I wouldnt have ) and Web Messenger (very well done and works well) but charges $6 a month which kills it and why not many even talk about it.

If you ask me, people should just try to get on the JT Beta for now, its very stable and works great, and see what happens when it comes out of Beta.

So far JIVETALK is kicking butt.
The creators/support staff for it were very quick to respond and so far, have a great product.

I use my AOL Aim account the most, but when I am at work I use www.meebo.com to link all of them together.

The rabmle OTA link isnt working for me on my 7130e. I tried it in Opera Mini, BB Browser and Internet Browser. Everytime I select OTA and download it takes me back to the policy page.

    Any ideas?

You have to enter your blackberry email address into the box , agree to the terms , and then , when the email comes through , it will have the link to the download page , from there , you can download over the air

You know what gets me is that Yahoo is partnered with AT&T, and Cingular is now AT&T but Yahoo messenger does not work with AT&T (Cingular) phones. But Google Talk Yahoo's arch enemy works great. Oh and you can contact all your AIM contacts in Yahoo messenger.

It uses data only. I have been watching my text messages count, and it is still at 6 for the month.

OK, i dont think that Berry Vine Messenger was made for my phone (the pearl) and I downloaded it. How on earth do I get this thing OFF my phone? I can't remove it! I tried going into "options" then to "advanced" then to "applications"...and it isnt even listed, but I have the darn icon on my darn phone!!!!

    How do I remove it?

The quick IM though is awesome

The problem with using a GoogleTalk hack is that you're logged on to AIM 24/7 and have to use PSI on your desktop- you can't use iChat.

A GREAT program! Have it running 24/7 and notice no battery drain, usually never any down time and works very nice!
