~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~it would be great lol
I think it's a legal issue (i could be wrong) Do other smartphones have this utility even through a third party application?

J - My buddy has an att device, he downloaded this 3rd party app called PMRecorder (Windows Mobile) that allows him to record his phone calls (both ends) and save the recording as a .wav file...it's pretty damn kool.
i would like that too.
WM phones get a lot of the stuff i want my bb to have, mainly, MMS. "lovely" sprint...
When i had Nextel back in the day, it actually came ready to do that. You could be in a call and go to your menu and start recordin the call. Pretty sneaky and clever in my own opinion... I think we should have one for our BB's
do you think that you can do this via the app of send a voice note???
Thumbs must hurt....

Give the lazy man a hard job to do, and he will find the easy way to do it!!!
I had a Samsung D600 (not even a "smartphone") and it let me record calls just by pressing the camera shortcut button. I forget what audio format it was, but I could transfer it to my pc and listen to it.
It depends on the state the call originates from. Such as, in Texas, only one person has to know the call is being recorded so if I am the one placing the call to someone in California, I do not have to legally tell them the call is being recorded because I know it's being recorded.
However, in other states, it is a legal requirement that all parties know the call is being recorded.
This item has been posted numerous times on the "Stacks" but we've yet to see a 3rd party app available for this purpose.
