Most battery-saving connection configuration is:
TCP/IP
Direct TCP
You can set it under IM+ Settings / Connection.

We have increased timeout time to 3 minutes.
Before setting this connection configuration, please make sure that TCP/IP is enabled on your Blackberry.

See a list of known settings on our WAP-site:
http://wap.shapeservices.com/blackberry/faq/bb_tcp.php
or on our Web-site:
http://www.shapeservices.com/en/faq/sections/bb_tcp.php
Alternatively you can contact your wireless carrier for
correct TCP/IP settings.

You can enter TCP/IP setting on youb Blackberry under
Options -> TCP
or Tools -> TCP
or Options -> Advanced Options -> TCP
depending on your Blackberry model.

Also I would like to add that this connection configuration is not only battery-saving, it is also the fastest and uses less traffic than others.

We will continue working in this direction and improve battery saving for other connection types.

The issue with me is battery power. If your services are similiar and your battery saving is considerably better, people may provide you with the extra $30 compared with your competitor.

Wow $50 bucks for the software? I know the software is probably good and stuff but wow that's expensive considering you can get software like ramble free.......... and yes I know ramble doesn't do "ALL" the IM stuff but still............

Re: IM+ All-in-One Messenger v.5.0 beta-testing

Hey guys. Just downloaded on my vzw 8830. Yahoo,aol,and myspace all connected. First time! I logged into my yahoo under 2nd screen name with other app and its working great. We just had evdo turned on in my area and your app is working great and fast. Love it so far. Just scared to see how much this will cost. I couldn't get my other aol app to work so this is great for me. Also love the myspace messenger in this. Will let you know further.

Re: IM+ All-in-One Messenger v.5.0 beta-testing

I downloaded and installed the app, setup my accounts and its been a cake walk very easy. do you think the SMS sending right from a mobile client.The cost of a SMS varies from 4 to 6 cents per one for a sender is some thing bb users will use.
