What is the best application to install on your BB if you want to use Windows Live Messanger/MSN Messenger or AIM? I have texting but no data plan. Do the apps that enable you to use MSN, WLM, or AIM require a data plan or will they just go through your texting plan? Thanks, Jake |

You have ATT---I'm assuming since you have an 8310---they have something called OZ messenger that allows you to use text messages for IM...however, it's not the greatest thing in the world. I would suggest to get a data plan and use Jive Talk. It allows you to sign into several messengers at once, even two or three accounts on the same messenger. For example...I have four yahoo messengers, two msn and two gtalk....and two MySpace...I can sign into all of them at the same time. it's a small price to pay for great functionality. |

Jive talk is probably your best choice. I do have a data plan though. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I think its IMplus that uses text messages rather than data. Do a quick search and I'm. Sure you'll be able to find plenty of info on it. I've never used it myself so I can't give you much info on how well it works ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Thanks for all the help! I'll do some research later today and see what I can get to work.
