I'm just curious if there is a 3rd party application can set birthday reminders. How do you guys do it?

you can use calendar, new appointment, set date and time, (alarm if wanted) and check it for Private.

I use to have all my birthday reminders set in my yahoo calendar. It was a simple sync and now they are also all in my Curve as well.

Doesn't the 4.3 os have a spot for birthdays and anniversary in the contacts?

Google Calendar for me. A repeating event with 1 week, 2 days and 1 day email reminders.

Yes sir, you should be able to.

If you edit your contacts, you should be able to input a DOB and anniversary near the bottom.

That's what I thought. So if a person just waited till they got 4.3 they wouldn't have to buy anything. Just use your calendar till then. That's what I do. It goes off to remind me when I get up.

just curious what does marking the date private do? i didn't really see a diffrence from marking it private ot not marking it private.

If you use Outlook Gmail or MSN(also others), sign up for Plaxo. It combines all your address books. Anyways...plaxo will send you reminders about birthdays 3 days prior. As long as you have them in Outlook or whatever.

If u use your calendar for work as well (Outlook) it hides the details of the calendar item... (i.e., Dentist, hot date with Lola.....) and just shows the appt and time as Busy
