    Well im thinking of downloading Aim to my phone and i was wondering does it charge each "im"(instant message) as a text message? if so i have unlimited im covered right? If not do i need to buy a plan?

    Depending which app you're using. If it's the OZ IM client then it will use SMS.

    All other apps you will need a BB data plan for them to work. The RIM AIM app doesn't work for anyone but a certain carrier(bell)

    thanks reddog but are you 100% sure OZ IM client uses SMS since i dont wnna get in trouble after the bill comes and my dad says why is this bill so high or w/e

    It does use SMS. If you do it through the web broswer or a 3rd party it will use data. I've yet to find AIM 3rd party and I can't access it through the browser. I don't use Opera Mini, it could be different on that.
