But I'm not watching all the time. Like today I had to run some errands
and turned it on, when I checked later, seen the connection lost message.
Not sure how long it was like that.
The connection might be lost by any reason. Please try to reconnect.

    Hello,

To use GPSed service you would need a BlackBerry with a built-in GPS receiver or a BlackBerry and an extarnal GPS receiver to connect to BlackBerry (via Bluetooth for example), GPSed mobile application and access to http://gpsed.com

    1. GPSed mobile application is free of charge.
    2. You do not require any data connection to write tracks, so no charges will occur.
    3. If you would like to transfer your tracks to http://gpsed.com, you can transfer them to your PC and then to http://gpsed.com free of charge.
    or
    3. You can transfer your tracks to http://gpsed.com from your mobile device, in that case data connection is required and charges will occur according to your carrier rates.

    Suggestions? This app looks awesome!

Ok tried again today and the program ran.
I had it on for about 45 mins while I was out driving around today.
I couldn't keep my eye on it to see if it was connected the whole time.
But at the end I clicked on upload to GPSed.com and got the "ok" that it was
sent, but when I go to the web site my tracks are still not there.
Also notice that with GPSed running for the 45 mins, my battery drop about 10%.
Needed to get a replacement 8330 Curve again, so I got a New pin and it's in my profile... Got 8330m now!

    Waiting for your reply
Yes, everything works fine when I do that from the Blackberry settings, or running any other GPS-enabled program that I've got. Just doesn't work from GPSed.

According to your description, I can assume that the connection was stable. To upload tracks to the web storage, you can try again from your BlackBerry or transfer them to PC and then to the web storage.

Your battery is being droped by the active GPS receiver that is being used when writing tracks. GPSed doesn't influence on the battery that much.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.
There are too less information to investigate the situation. We are going to release a version with logging in future. That would help us to serve you better. We will inform you when this version is released.

    Hi Shape Team,
Yes the connection was stable. When I got to my computer I
transferred the tracks from my BB to my PC and then uploaded
them to the web site. And they seemed complete.
Just a pain to do all those steps, but I seen in the other thread
that you are working on the BB uploading problem.

And I understand about the GPS receiver doing the battery drain
    and not the program.
Needed to get a replacement 8330 Curve again, so I got a New pin and it's in my profile... Got 8330m now!

So far the program has been great, no problems with GPS connection. I do have the problem of the tracks not showing up on the website, my BB does say they are being sent, and e-mailing the info works fine through the program.

Just need to find a way to integrate this into twitter.....

Sure. Remote debugging sucks, and I don't envy you for having to try.

Still, I do wish I could get it to work. Feel like I'm missing out on a new toy.

Shame too, because it looks like a very cool program. Mologogo destroys my battery life, and the interface is very slow and clunky. (Splash screen is pretty, I guess.) Blip seems a little better, though the intervals are pretty far between, it is very slow, and because it relies on BBMaps for mapping, I'm screwed being on AT&T.

So far, I think I'm stuck using BBTracker and manually uploading its tracks after converting them to kml. Not slick at all, but at least that program works as expected.

If someone (especially from Shape) can let me know how to fix this, I'd appreciate it.
I am also having GPS fix problems on my 8310 running OS 4.5.18. I get location/ date etc. when i refresh the GPS from the GPS settings menu and when i use other GPS apps.

I have just finished both of those tips, neither of which worked. It still acquires the satellite position, but will not let me start a track.

Any more ideas? I am excited to take this hiking with me!

Would be great if this worked with GSM cellsites too, not just GPS.

    Dear users,

To upload your tracks to the Online Storage directly from your device, please save your tracks to your BlackBerry's memory (not a Memory card) beforehand and so upload from the device memory.
Saving to SD card and uploading from there will be available next week.

    Sorry for the temporary inconvenience.

    Best regards,
    Irene
