This is my first real upgrade, I've use the 8700 before but didnt bother transfer

Is the a way to move everything (including 3rd party) to my new Curve?

I did saw the sticky above, but thats for backup, or is that the same?

Try the Switch Device Wizard in Desktop Manager. It is not always 100% on 3rd party stuff, but IMO it does a pretty amazing job, it will even pick up your current theme settings and notify all of your BBM contacts of your new PIN.

While on the subject dont forget to change your PIN on your BIS page or your emails will not work!

I am not positive you can transfer all of your third party apps over to the new device.

Often, the apps have slight variations to take into account the differences between the different device models.

I would suggest downloading and installing your software independently on your new Curve.

Not sure who you use as a carrier, but....if you have AT&T, you can redownload the games to your new device. Once you have done that, call AT&T and tell them you previously had the game on your old phone, previously paid for it, but that you lost them due to switching phones. They will credit your account. They did this for my husband, daughter and me when we all switched back to BB's. If you don't have AT&T, talk to your carrier and see if they will honor it. Hopefully if you do have AT&T they will treat you the same. With us, they just had to be able to verify we already purchased the games once before. Hope this helps.
