    Fax from BB

It is too bad you can't fax messages from your BB.

I was just thinking last night that, since we could plug in a fax number into a contact entry, it would be real nice if we could highlight the contact name, click in the trackwheel, and see "Fax Joe Whoever". And then you could just type a message like you would an email, and have it transmit over their fax machine--no cover sheet, just a message. Wouldn't that be nice??

If anybody knows of a way to do it (I'm not very techie), let me know.

There are currently services/software available to allow you to do just that. One example that I know of is PRINT ANYWHERE---have not tried it, however.

You could do it, just use www.scanr.com

Basically you just email them whatever you want to doc@scanr.com with the subject as the phone number, the message box will be printed aswell (they dont really mention that part, only that it will print attachments).

It's also completely free, which is nice. I use it quite often now with my PDA.

I sent myself a couple of faxes with Scanr--I will let you all know how it works out

One was a forward of an email in my handheld inbox (just changed the subject to my fax #) and the other was just an email from me to my handheld.

Whoops---looks like you have to register for the free trial before it will work :P

I will check into it later on when I have more time

    Thank you though!

I use efax through my company. You type (fax #)@j2send.com
Sends a cover page any any email or attachment you may have. NOT free but if you're not faxing a ton, its not bad.
    Goto efax.com.

    Or you could try this:

    http://www.tpc.int/faxbyemail.html

I would use it all the time, but it's limited coverage (by area code, I think) and I'm not in the right area.

This is good for Nextel Customers only...www.sprint.com/printtoafax you have to sign up, and its .15 per page, but works really well. Here is some info about Print To A Fax by Nextel...http://www.nextel.com/assets/pdfs/en...int_fax_ug.pdf
